About Haud Works

The helping hand for craft businesses and creative businesses.

Craft Council reports that the barriers to becoming a craftsperson have never been lower.
We can learn how to make through virtual courses or social media tutorials. We can purchase our materials online. There’s a resurgence of "making", particularly among young people.

However, it’s never been harder to sell your wares.

Craft fairs feel safe, but they have limited reach, and often don’t pay off.
Online platforms like Etsy and Folksy are filled with mass produced tat, and it’s hard to get the visibility you need.
You can try making your own website, but it feels like a huge amount of work…
And that’s before we cover creating and posting regular reels on Instagram and TikTok!

We’re here to help work out what’s right for you.
How you can be noticed in a competitive landscape.
Who you should target, and how you should speak to them.
Where you should invest your time for the best payoff.

I’ve been managing for small and medium sized craft businesses for the last 5 years. I previously managed the team at Watts & Co., 150 year old company making bespoke ceremonial garments, completely by hand. In the final year of my tenure, we had achieved 38% year-on-year growth, and had grown the team from circa 20 to 50+. With a strong market of repeat customers and exponential growth in the US, we had found the right product for this niche market.

In 2024, I decided to bring my expertise to the world of small craft businesses.
Solo makers, amateur makers, established professionals… Whether you’ve not started yet, or sales feel stagnant after years of success, we’d love to work with you.
